Kelleys Island, OH

Kelleys Island State Park is an Ohio state park. ReserveOhio lists 121 campsites there: 34 with water, electric and sewer, 46 with electric, 41 without electric. It also lists 4 cabins and yurts. The 677-acre park is on the northern shore of Kelleys Island in Lake Erie. Maximum camping unit lengths listed on the sites run from 15 to 50 feet.

Kelleys Island State Park is a well-maintained, nature-focused campground with clean facilities, roomy sites—many with lake views—and easy access to a beach, boat ramp and water activities. Trails and the glacial grooves are standout features, and shops and restaurants are a short bike ride away on the historic island. Amenities such as shower houses, water pumps and cleaning stations are appreciated, and staff are generally friendly. It’s quieter on weekdays but busier on weekends. Some visitors noted frequent golf-cart traffic and a deteriorating concrete feature, and ferry transport can add significant cost and planning.

Listed rating: 4.7
