Deer Meadow Campground

Deer Meadow Campground in Cooksburg, Pennsylvania is an RV campground on 65 acres bordering Cook Forest State Park. All sites have water, electric and cable TV, and 65 of them have sewer hookups. Back-in sites have 30 or 50 amp service, and the new pull-through full hookup sites are 80 feet long with 50 amp service. There are no bath houses and no tent camping, so all units must be self-contained. Two wagon wheels accommodate up to 6 campers for group camping.

Deer Meadow Campground offers a well-kept, family-oriented park with a child-friendly pool, playgrounds, game room, laundry and a small camp store. Staff and long-term campers are often described as friendly and management keeps the grounds tidy; gate access and weekend activities add appeal. It is pet-friendly with an off‑leash area and sits across from Cook Forest for outdoor access. Tradeoffs include busy weekends, some uneven or rocky sites, limited bathhouse/showers (mostly outhouses near the pool), occasional Wi‑Fi/cable/connectivity problems, and mixed reports about phone/email responsiveness. Suited for RVers who prioritize amenities and a relaxed, social campground atmosphere.
